Emergency Drills
Emergency Drills
Respond and Rescue has a team of trained EMS professionals and a full complement of emergency scenarios that can be uniquely customized to your organization’s emergency plan and current first responder training to help put your organization’s response plan to the test. The Drill program is designed to enhance your existing CPR/AED + First Aid training, so they can respond confidently in their abilities to provide care with the important lifesaving skills they should have already learned. The post-drill report with coaching and feedback will further highlight areas where the team performed well and areas for improvement. The Drill program is designed to ensure that when it comes to the real thing, your staff is ready to Respond and Rescue in a timely fashion with confidence.
Our drill team will be sent out on a date and time agreed upon by both parties. The members will be set up in a disclosed location. The team consists of a real victim with obvious trauma, a timekeeper, and an administrator. The responders are informed that an emergency has occurred, EMS has been summoned, and the victim requires assistance. They are supposed to respond to provide emergency care until the arrival of EMS. Once arriving at the scene, they are informed that this is a drill, their information is taken down, and a timeline is started. The overall response is monitored, and they are prompted to use the necessary steps to care for the specific scenario. A real victim is used up until the point that CPR is needed. They then transition to a manikin to continue the care. at some point, the drill ended when EMS arrived.
